About Slow Way Down

Overland from Hamburg to Cape Town

After 248 Days on my little Scooter, crossing 3 continents and 21 countries, covering 21.000 kilometres I reached Cape Town, South Africa.

Slow Way Down is the one-man trip from Hamburg, Germany to Cape Town, South Africa on a thirty-year-old east german build „Simson Schwalbe“ Moped. Starting mid September in Hamburg the ride will head east around the Mediterranean Sea into Egypt and through East Africa to Cape Town.

Traveling for Charity
The purpose of the journey is to raise money for the HIV/Aids-Project in Uganda implemented by Plan International. On this Website you can donate on the kilometres travelled south.
